In observance of the holy month of Ramadan, the Kenya Navy Muslim faithful donated Iftar foodstuffs to Muslim families in Mtongwe, reinforcing the spirit of compassion and generosity that defines the sacred period.
The initiative had the aim of supporting less fortunate members of the community while promoting unity and humanitarian values. The effort highlighted the importance of sharing and caring for those in need during the fasting season.
Kenya Navy commanders and Muslim leaders praised the Muslim faithful for the charitable activity which demonstrated a strong commitment to service. They urged the local community to continue embracing the spirit of giving, noting that acts of kindness uplift the vulnerable, strengthen social bonds and reflect the core teachings of Islam.
Beyond providing essential support, the initiative also created an opportunity for Kenya Navy Muslim personnel to engage directly with Mtongwe Muslim families, fostering goodwill and enhancing civil-military relations.
