US MILITARY GROUP–KENYA ENGAGES NDC ON STRENGTHENING PROFESSIONAL MILITARY EDUCATION

The Commandant, National Defence College (NDC), Lieutenant General Juma Mwinyikai, hosted a delegation from the United States Military Group–Kenya (USMILGP-K) led by Lieutenant Colonel Trish Basile – USMILGP Kenya Chief, Lieutenant Colonel Hans Hobbs, the Air Program Manager and Ms. Daisy Kone, the IMET Program Manager.

During the visit, the two sides held discussions aimed at strengthening collaboration in Professional Military Education (PME) focusing on training, exchange of experiences, and the sharing of best practices in the design, development and delivery of strategic-level military education.

The Commandant underscored NDC’s commitment to enhancing professional and academic excellence in preparing senior military leaders to meet contemporary and emerging security challenges.

The visiting team expressed their interest in deepening institutional cooperation, broadening faculty and student exchange opportunities and supporting joint initiatives that improve the quality and relevance of professional military education.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong partnership between Kenya and the United States and highlighted the shared dedication to advancing defence cooperation, fostering professional excellence and contributing to regional and global security.
