VCDF CHAIRS JOINT COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE CONTROL BOARD MEETING 

The Vice Chief of the Defence Forces (VCDF) Lieutenant General John Omenda this week chaired a regular College Control Board Meeting of the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC) at the institution in Karen, Nairobi.

The VCDF plays a pivotal role in overseeing strategic military institutions like the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC) and chairing a regular Control Board Meeting for the JCSC underscores the KDF’s commitment to advancing professional military education and operational readiness.

The meeting was updated on the College’s progress on the ongoing courses, plans for the upcoming events, and areas of administration that may require policy guidance.

The college aims to develop the military’s professional knowledge and skills of student officers from KDF and Allied Countries as stipulated by its vision and mission.

Membership of the Board includes: Principal Secretary MOD, Service Commanders, Assistant Chief of Defence Forces Personnel & Logistics Defence Headquarters, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and Student Affairs National Defence University-Kenya, Chief of Reseach Doctrine & Training Evaluation JCSC with the Deputy Commandant JCSC as the Secretary.

The College Control Board is the governing body that is responsible for the overall administration of JCSC.
