Environmental conservation through tree planting is essential for restoring degraded landscapes, protecting water catchment areas, enhancing biodiversity, and reducing the effects of climate change. In support of President William Ruto’s vision of planting 15 billion trees by 2032, the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) under OMU, in partnership with the Kenya Red Cross, conducted a tree-planting exercise at KMTC Chemolingot. The activity formed part of the national campaign to expand forest cover and promote responsible environmental management.
The exercise brought together KDF personnel and Kenya Red Cross volunteers, reflecting a shared commitment to protecting the environment through practical conservation efforts. It also highlighted the value of partnership in advancing national environmental objectives.
