The Commander Kenya Air Force, Major General Bernard Waliaula, presided over the closing ceremony of Junior Officers Course No. 15/25, held at the Talanta Centre, Moi Air Base (MAB).
The 10-week course, which began on 5 May 2025, was designed to equip junior officers with an understanding of the roles, organization, and responsibilities of various Kenya Air Force formations and the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) as a whole.
While addressing the graduates, Major General Waliaula congratulated them on successfully completing the course. He emphasized the importance of professionalism and discipline, reminding them that their primary commitment is to duty and country.
“We are entrusted with the security of the nation, and I urge you to hold fast to the values that brought us into uniform. Stand firm and protect your honor. The Kenya Air Force welcomes you into the ranks. Be proud of what you have achieved so far, and stay humble for what you are about to learn. Your country counts on you, do not let her down,” he said.
The School Commandant, Colonel Charles Munyao, assured the Commander that the training is tailored to adequately prepare the officers for their responsibilities and future deployments.
Also present at the ceremony were the Deputy Commander KAF, Brigadier Samwel Kipkorir; Base Commander Embakasi Air Base; Chief of Air Force Medical Services, Brigadier Patrick Kimata, senior officers and officers.
