On Thursday 14 August 2025, the Junior Joint Command and Staff Course, JJCSC 101/25, comprising 55 participants from the three services of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), graduated at the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC) in Karen.
The graduation ceremony was graced by the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor, Brigadier D K Chesire who was accompanied by the College Heads of Departments.
In his address, Brig Chesire commended the graduates for their dedication during the 14-week course, which equipped them with vital command and staff skills for unit and formation roles.
He urged them to apply their knowledge, uphold the College’s legacy and continue self-development, emphasizing that staff work demands devotion, tact and independent judgment.
“Remain focused to the leadership attributes of character, presence and intellect, competencies to lead, develop and achieve and remain true to the military core values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honour, integrity and courage,” the Deputy Commandant stated.
He concluded by encouraging continued learning and wishing the graduates success in their military careers.
