KENYA@100 CAPSTONE TRAINING GRADUATION CEREMONY

The first cohort of the Kenya@100 Capstone Training successfully completed their two-week program on 26th September 2025 at the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC) in Karen, Nairobi. The graduation ceremony was graced by the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Dr. Patrick Mariru.

In his remarks, Dr. Mariru noted that the course reflects the strong commitment of the National Defence College (NDC) in partnering with government ministries, departments, and agencies. He emphasized that security remains a silent partner of economic development across all nations.

“The Capstone goal is to build a sustainable, long-term outlook that ensures strategic prevalence in both national security and economic prosperity,” he said.

He further highlighted that the Capstone Training aligns with the Kenya Defence Forces’ (KDF) objective of promoting a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach to leadership at national, regional, and global levels.

The Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC), Lieutenant General Juma Mwinyikai, commended the participants, noting that the training is a critical step toward securing the future of the nation. He described the program as a flagship initiative of the NDC and applauded the faculty for their professionalism, dedication, and unwavering support in ensuring the success of the course.
