SENIOR JOINT COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE 41-2025/26 PARTICIPATES IN TEWT AT OLDONYO ENGER

The Senior Joint Command and Staff Course 41-2025/26 successfully conducted a three-day Tactical Exercise Without Troops (TEWT) from 5–7 November 2025 in the general area of Oldonyo Enger, Kajiado County.

The conduct of the exercise was led by the Commandant, Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC), Major General Eric Kinuthia, accompanied by the Deputy Commandant, Brigadier David Chesire, heads of departments and faculty members.

Conducted in a realistic operational environment, the TEWT provided participating Officers with practical exposure to tactical planning, decision-making, and the application of joint operational concepts in complex and dynamic scenarios. The exercise forms a critical component of the Senior Joint Command and Staff Course curriculum, designed to prepare mid-career Officers for the assumption of increased command and staff responsibilities in joint, combined and inter-agency operations within their respective armed forces.

The Commandant commended the participants for their professionalism, analytical rigor, and commitment throughout the exercise, noting that such activities significantly enhance the operational readiness and leadership capacity of the region’s future senior military leaders.

The Joint Command and Staff College remains committed to delivering world-class professional military education that meets the evolving security demands of Kenya and partner nations.
