The Silent Warrior 2025 Conference co-hosted by the Kenya Defence Forces and U.S. Special Operations Command Africa (SOCAFRICA), officially came to an end in Nairobi on 11th December 2025.
Silent Warrior 2025, the continent’s largest Special Operations Forces (SOF) security conference, placed a sharp focus on the evolving future of SOF, with particular emphasis on embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance modernization and improve security operations across diverse threat environments.
In his closing remarks, Deputy Force Commander, African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), Major General Peter Muteti, commended participating nations for their active engagement, noting that the Silent Warrior platform continues to strengthen regional and international collaboration. He emphasized that unity, shared intelligence, joint planning and interoperability remain the backbone of effective modern operations, reiterating that no State can secure itself in isolation.
The four-day forum brought together SOF commanders, security experts and industry partners from across Africa, the United States, Europe and allied nations. Discussions centred on strengthening cooperation to counter terrorism, cyber threats, hybrid warfare and transnational organised crime.
The forum further reinforced Kenya’s role as a key security partner on the continent and signalled deepening ties with U.S. Special Operations Forces and other global partners. Kenyan defence leadership reaffirmed the country’s commitment to regional stability and investment in modern, agile and technologically capable SOF units.
In his closing remarks, Major General Claude K. Tudor, Commander, U.S. Special Operations Command Africa, reaffirmed that the future of Special Operations Forces lies in innovation, adaptability, and strong partnerships, calling for continued international and regional cooperation to address fast evolving threats.
The Silent Warrior 2025 Conference concluded with awards presented to all participating States in recognition of their contribution to the success of this year’s edition.
