The Deputy Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF), Brigadier Samuel Kipkorir, on behalf of the Commander Kenya Air Force, Major General Bernard Waliaula, presided over the graduation ceremony of the new Pararescue Jumpers (PJ) Course No. 2/26 on Thursday, 12 February 2026, at the Kenya Air Force Training Wing.
The ceremony marked the culmination of an intensive ten-month training designed to equip participants with specialized competencies required for personnel recovery and combat search and rescue operations. The rigorous programme exposed the trainees to demanding operational environments and adverse weather conditions to build endurance, resilience, and mission readiness.
In his address during the closing ceremony, Brigadier Kipkorir conveyed the Commander KAF’s congratulations to the graduates for successfully completing one of the most demanding courses within the Service.
“You have undergone rigorous and demanding training over the last ten months. The skills you have acquired in navigation, combat medicine, air operations, and close-quarter battle will define your effectiveness in the field,” said Brigadier Kipkorir.
He further urged the newly qualified Pararescue Jumpers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and discipline in the execution of their duties across the Service.
“Carry these skills with discipline and commitment wherever you are called to serve. The Kenya Air Force expects you to remain steadfast, mission-focused, and ready to respond in any operational environment,” he emphasized.
The graduation of Course No. 2/26 reinforces the Kenya Air Force’s commitment to enhancing its personnel recovery capability and maintaining a highly trained force prepared to respond to dynamic operational demands in support of national security objectives.
Also present were the Commandant, Kenya Air Force Training Wing, Colonel Charles Munyao, Senior officers, Officers, Service members, and course participants.
