Muslim service personnel from the Kenya Army at Thika Barracks recently donated assorted foodstuffs for iftar to inmates at Thika Main Prison.
The KDF team handed over the items to the Deputy Officer in Charge of Thika Main Prison, Superintendent Julius Muli. He expressed his appreciation to the Kenya Defence Forces personnel from the Engineers Brigade for the kind gesture extended during the holy month of fasting.
During the visit, KDF Muslim leadership encouraged the inmates to remain steadfast in their fasting with patience and hope, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and faith in the pursuit of righteousness.
They noted that the outreach was part of a series of initiatives planned by Muslim service personnel at the camp, aimed at supporting and uplifting vulnerable members of the community.
