FORGING RESILIENT LEADERS THROUGH FITNESS

The Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC) continues to uphold its commitment to developing disciplined, resilient and mission-ready military leaders by integrating physical fitness into leadership training. In line with this commitment, the College conducted the Commandant’s Run for Senior Joint Command and Staff Course 42–2026/2027 on Wednesday, 5 August 2026.

The Commandant, Major General Eric Kinuthia, flagged off and participated in the run. The event brought together College leadership, Members of Faculty, Directing Staff, students and college staff in a spirited display of teamwork and esprit de corps.

The Commandant noted that the run offered a valuable opportunity to strengthen camaraderie beyond the demands of the training programme. He encouraged all personnel to embrace regular physical exercise as a foundation for effective leadership and overall well-being.

The event concluded with awards recognizing outstanding performers, underscoring JCSC’s enduring commitment to excellence, discipline and holistic leadership development.
