On Thursday, 13 August 2026, participants of Junior Joint Command and Staff Course (JJCSC) 104/26 graduated from the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC), Karen. The graduation ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor, Brigadier Seif Rashid, accompanied by Heads of Departments.
Student officers drawn from the three Services of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) were awarded certificates upon successful completion of the demanding course.
Addressing the graduands, the Deputy Commandant congratulated them on attaining a significant milestone in their military careers. He emphasized the pivotal role of the JJCSC in professional military education, particularly in developing competent, disciplined and adaptable staff officers capable of operating effectively in joint environments.
He noted that the course provided rigorous academic, professional and mental preparation to equip the officers for increased responsibilities in command and staff appointments.
The graduands now join the JCSC alumni fraternity and are expected to translate their knowledge and skills into effective service, uphold KDF core values and contribute to mission success and enhanced operational effectiveness.
