DEPUTY COMMANDANT DELIVERS A LECTURE OF OPPORTUNITY TO JJCSC 101/25

On Wednesday 30 July 2025, the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor at the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC), Brigadier David Chesire, delivered a lecture of opportunity to participants of the Junior Joint Command and Staff Course (JJCSC) 101/25. The lecture, held at Langata Barracks, focused on crucial aspects of Leadership and Command.

Brigadier Chesire highlighted the role of character, competence and commitment in the professional discharge of duty. He emphasized that military values including loyalty, integrity, self-discipline, self-less service, honour and personal courage among others, are essential foundational attributes for effective leadership and command.
