On Tuesday, 14 October 2025, the Senior Joint Command and Staff Course No. 41-2025/2026, accompanied by Directing Staff, conducted an educational tour to the Humanitarian Peace Support School (HPSS) at Embakasi Garrison. The delegation from the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC), led by Colonel Bakari Kotea, Head of the Teaching Team and Senior Instructor, was warmly received by the Commandant of HPSS, Brigadier Cleopas Mundui.
The visit served as a follow-up to an earlier lecture on Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), enabling course participants to gain a deeper understanding of the critical importance of training, force preparation and measures to defeat IED threats. The delegation also participated in a guided tour of the IED and Counter-IED displays, as well as the Counter-IED Museum.
The educational tour formed an integral part of the comprehensive training program designed to prepare the course participants for their future roles as senior commanders and staff officers within the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and allied militaries.
