On Wednesday, 22 October 2025, the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC) successfully completed a two-day Directing Staff Clinic to facilitate the induction of newly appointed Directing Staff from both the Senior and Junior Divisions of the College. The event was officially opened by the College Commandant, Major General Eric Kinuthia, accompanied by the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor, Brigadier David Chesire, alongside Heads of Departments.
In his opening remarks, the Commandant underscored the importance of professional conduct and a steadfast commitment to instructional excellence. He emphasized the necessity for the new Directing Staff to fully embrace the College’s vision and core values to effectively deliver high-quality instruction to students.
The clinic was designed to equip the new Directing Staff with essential skills needed to uphold the highest standards of instructional excellence. This initiative reinforces JCSC’s commitment to shaping the future leaders of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and allied militaries by providing a strong foundation for their professional development.
