BASE COMMANDER MOI AIR BASE CONDUCTS VISITS TO BASE SCHOOLS

On 20 and 21 January 2026, the Base Commander Moi Air Base (MAB), Brigadier Herbert Wafula, conducted visits to Moi Forces Academy and MAB Primary School, both located within the Base. He was received by the Heads of Institution, Madam Jacqueline Okwaro and Madam Pauline Njoroge, respectively, who briefed him on the institutions’ academic performance, infrastructure status and prevailing challenges.

The purpose of the visits was to familiarise himself with the learning environment, assess ongoing academic and co-curricular programmes, and engage directly with the school administration, teachers and learners.

During the visits, Brigadier Wafula underscored the importance of quality education as a foundation for discipline, character development and future leadership. He commended the management and staff of both schools for their dedication to nurturing well rounded learners and assured them of continued support from the Base, with a view to fostering excellence, professionalism and holistic growth among learners.

“Education remains the strongest pillar upon which the future of any nation is built. As a Base, we firmly believe that national security and national development begin in the classroom. A well-educated generation is not only an asset to our Defence Forces but also to the economic, social and technological advancement of our country,” he reiterated.

Present during the visits were members of the Board of Management Chairmen for Moi Forces Academy and Moi Air Base Primary School respectively, Parents Association members, teachers, staff and learners.
