COMMANDER KAF PRESIDES OVER PERFORMANCE CONTRACT SIGNING

Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF) Major General Bernard Waliaula presided over the signing of Performance Contracts for KAF Formation Commanders and Principal Staff Officers at the Kenya Air Force Headquarters, Moi Air Base, on 27 August 2025.

The Performance Contracts outline clear targets that enable the Kenya Air Force to fulfill its mandate of protecting and defending the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity from external air threats.

In his address, Major General Waliaula urged the Formation Commanders to remain focused on accountability and efficiency.

“I direct all Formations and Branches to exercise prudence in resource management while conducting monthly assessments,” he stated.

He further emphasized the importance of the exercise, noting, “This will ensure the effective utilization of resources and guarantee the attainment of the stated targets. As we append our signatures to this Performance Contract, let it not be viewed as a mere formality, but as a commitment to deliver results, uphold standards, and enhance mission readiness.”

Major General Waliaula concluded with a call to duty, saying, “With good stewardship of resources, we shall meet and exceed our targets, thereby safeguarding our skies and honoring the trust bestowed upon us by the Nation.”
