As security operations intensify across security challenged areas, the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) under Operation Maliza Uhalifu (OMU), continues to reinforce strategic community engagements aimed at enhancing stability, strengthening public confidence, and consolidating lasting peace in the region.
In line with this objective, KDF personnel deployed at Learoni Camp conducted a Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) and Key Leadership Engagement (KLE) activity at Loibor Ngare Samburu West Sub-County. The engagement formed part of deliberate and sustained efforts geared towards deepening collaboration between security agencies and local communities in the fight against insecurity and criminal activities within the region.
The forum provided an important platform for constructive engagement between the security team, local leadership, and residents on matters relating to peace, security, and collective responsibility in safeguarding the area. The initiative further underscored the unwavering commitment of the KDF towards fostering trust, enhancing cooperation, and promoting a secure environment conducive to socio-economic development.
Residents commended the KDF for their continued dedication, professionalism, and decisive role in restoring normalcy and maintaining stability within Samburu County. They further reaffirmed their commitment to supporting ongoing security interventions aimed at sustaining peace and unity across the region.
The engagement significantly strengthened the relationship between the security agencies and the local population while reinforcing public confidence and operational effectiveness within the area of responsibility.
