CRAFTED TO LEAD AND PREPARED TO SERVE

Leadership, command, and management remain the cornerstone of military effectiveness, providing Service personnel with the skills, discipline, and professional competence required to lead in complex and dynamic operational environments. Through structured military education and training, the Kenya Air Force continues to develop leaders capable of meeting present and future challenges with confidence and excellence.

On 24 June 2026, the Kenya Air Force Training Wing (KTW) at Moi Air Base successfully graduated participants of the Senior Leadership and Management Course. The event was presided over by Base Commander Moi Air Base, Brigadier Herbert Wafula, on behalf of Commander Kenya Air Force, Major General Bernard Waliaula.

The course participants underwent an intensive eleven-week programme designed to develop leaders of character, competence, and readiness for increased responsibilities as they advance in their military careers.

Addressing the graduates during the closing ceremony, Brigadier Wafula congratulated them on successfully completing the course and acknowledged the vital role played by their families and stakeholders in supporting the training programme.

“I wish to sincerely thank the families of our graduates for their unwavering support and sacrifice, which has greatly contributed to the success we celebrate today. As you move forward, I urge each of you to apply the knowledge and values gained here—lead with integrity, inspire confidence, and remain steadfast in your service to our nation,” he stated.

The successful completion of Senior Leadership and Management Course marks another important milestone in the Kenya Air Force’s continuous investment in professional military education. As the newly graduated leaders return to their respective units, they carry with them enhanced knowledge, sharpened leadership skills, and a renewed commitment to mission accomplishment, service excellence, and the defence of the nation.
