Defence Cabinet Secretary Hon Soipan Tuya on Tuesday met the Rt Rev Wallace Gachihi Ng’ang’a, Bishop of the Catholic Military Ordinariate of Kenya at Defence Headquarters.
The Cabinet Secretary and His Lordship discussed the wellbeing of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Catholic officers, service members and their families.
Rt Rev Ng’ang’a is the 3rd Bishop of the Catholic Military Ordinariate of Kenya having been installed on 12th October last year at a colorful ceremony attended by H.E President Dr William Ruto at Ulinzi Stadium.
Officially established on 24th July 1981 as a Military Vicariate by Pope John Paul II, the Military Ordinariate of Kenya provides pastoral care to Catholics serving in KDF and their families.
Bishop Ng’ang’a’s predecessors at the Catholic Military Ordinariate of Kenya include the late Cardinal Maurice Otunga and Col (Rtd) Bishop Alfred Rotich.
