GOC CENTRAL COMMAND TOURS NAIROBI REGIONAL HOSPITAL

The General Officer Commanding Central Command (CENTCOM), Major General Nkoimo, today undertook a familiarisation visit of Nairobi Regional Hospital (NRH) following his recent appointment as Chairman of the Board of Management.

The visit enabled him to assess service delivery standards and gain first-hand insight into the hospital’s critical role in safeguarding the health and welfare of Kenya Defence Forces personnel and their dependants.

During the visit, he also visited various departments and wards where he interacted with patients and medical staff and commended the personnel for their professionalism, resilience, and dedication to duty in delivering quality healthcare amid the evolving demands of military medical operations.

Addressing the hospital staff, Major General Nkoimo underscored the importance of continuous professional development, research, and adherence to best medical practices to ensure the facility remains responsive to emerging health challenges and aligned with global healthcare standards encouraging the team to maintain integrity, teamwork, and innovation as pillars of excellence in service delivery.

The visit reaffirmed Kenya Defence Forces unwavering commitment to strengthening governance structures, enhancing operational efficiency, and advancing quality healthcare services in support of force readiness and overall troop welfare.
