JUBILEE YEAR OF HOPE 2025 OFFICIALLY CLOSES, USHERING IN 2026

The Jubilee Year of Hope 2025 was officially brought to a close on 4 January 2026, with a solemn and colourful Mass celebration that drew together clergy, faithful, and invited guests at the DHQ CAU.

Presiding over the Mass, the Bishop of Military Ordinariate of Kenya Rt. Rev. Wallace Ng’ang’a urged the faithful to carry forward the message of hope beyond the Jubilee Year, reminding them that hope should be lived daily through acts of love, compassion and solidarity with the vulnerable and never giving up. He also emphasized that the Jubilee was not an end in itself, but a call to sustained transformation within families, communities and institutions.

During the celebration, prayers were offered for peace, unity and justice, as well as for the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and institutions entrusted with the responsibility of serving the people.

The celebration was marked under the theme, “Walking Together in Faith, Pilgrims of Hope” which was anchored in holy scriptures that reflected on the spiritual journey undertaken during the Jubilee Year 2025.
