KDF PARTICIPATES IN INTERNATIONAL SECURITY CONFERENCE ON AFRICA (ISCA)

The Chief of the Defence Forces, General Charles Kahariri, represented by National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K) Vice-Chancellor, Lieutenant General Jimson Mutai, participated in the inaugural International Security Conference on Africa (ISCA) held in Kigali, Rwanda. His participation reinforced KDF’s role as a regional partner in defence and security.

Themed “Reshaping Africa’s Landscape in a Dynamic, Complex Global Environment,” the conference brought together a wide range of African and international defence officials, policymakers, and security experts. It served as a critical platform for addressing the continent’s increasingly complex security challenges while promoting collaboration and coordinated responses.

Recognizing the rapidly growing complexity of security challenges in Africa, the leaders at the conference reaffirmed their commitment to fostering strategic cooperation and developing innovative solutions to bolster regional stability and security. The discussions and collaborations formed during this event are expected to shape the continent’s security outlook for years to come.

Additionally, ISCA is expected to play a pivotal role in amplifying African voices in global security debates and support homegrown solutions to conflict and security issues. Through its activities, the organization aims to empower professionals in security-related fields and promote African-led models for conflict resolution mechanisms.
