KDF STRENGTHENS COMMUNITY TIES AT BODHEI JUNCTION 

Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops under Operation Amani Boni (OAB) stationed at Bodhei area recently conducted Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities in support of support local residents.

The outreach included distribution of clean water, a free medical camp that treated over 68 people, and the donation of prayer mats to the local mosque. The troops also held a Key Leader Engagement (KLE) with community leaders to strengthen collaboration and improve information sharing on security matters.

Major Issack Shebo of KDF urged parents to prioritize education for their children and emphasized that lasting peace depends on trust and cooperation between security forces and the community.

Community leaders, in turn, expressed gratitude to the KDF for their unwavering support and presence. They welcomed the medical services and acknowledged the troops’ efforts in maintaining security and stability. They further pledged to sustain their partnership with the KDF, especially in intelligence-sharing to counter emerging threats.

These activities reflect the wider mission of Operation Amani Boni, which extends beyond security operations to encompass humanitarian support and community empowerment. Through such initiatives, the KDF continues to demonstrate that sustainable peace is achieved not only through military strength but also through compassion, collaboration, and shared responsibility.
