Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops operating under multi-agency Operation Maliza Uhalifu (OMU), in collaboration with the Affrica Inland Church Chemolingot Township, conducted a humanitarian outreach to residents of Kagir in Baringo North Sub-County—an area that has in recent years faced insecurity and banditry.
The joint team delivered tens of goats, food items, clothing and other essential supplies to families in the region. The gesture aims to strengthen community resilience, foster trust and promote peaceful coexistence among neighbouring communities.
Speaking during the visit, the KDF team affirmed the military’s commitment to supporting ongoing stabilization efforts and enhancing civilian–security relations. They emphasized that peace-building remains a key pillar of OMU’s operations in the North Rift, which combines security interventions with community engagements designed to uplift affected populations.
Local leaders and residents expressed gratitude for the support, noting that such partnerships contribute significantly to restoring confidence, hope and unity within the community.
This outreach marks another step in the sustained efforts by KDF and multi-agency partners to create a secure and stable environment, enabling families in the North Rift region to rebuild their livelihoods.
