In his remarks, the Chairman of KAFGC, Colonel Evans Oduma, expressed gratitude to the Commander Kenya Air Force for supporting the growth of golf within the Service. He also thanked the event’s sponsors, Diamond Trust Bank (DTB), for their continued partnership, including sponsoring a one-week junior golf clinic for children of Service personnel from Moi Air Base and other KDF units. The clinic introduced more than 100 children to the sport.
“It has been an amazing tournament, with the enthusiasm you have all demonstrated today and the high level of interest shown by participating golfers,” said Colonel Oduma. “The one-week clinic for children will play a significant role in popularizing the game and making it accessible to a wider audience.”
The event was also attended by the Kenya Defence Forces Golf Club Chairman, Brigadier Victor Kang’ethe, senior officers, officers and representatives from DTB led by Mr. Neil Ngeshu, Head of the Eastleigh Branch.
