KENYA NAVY BASE MANDA BAY DELIVERS EMERGENCY WATER SUPPLIES TO MAGOGONI RESIDENTS

In a significant Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) initiative, personnel from Kenya Navy Base (KNB) Manda Bay have delivered emergency relief to residents of the Magogoni Settlement in Lamu County.

The humanitarian intervention which involved the distribution of clean water, also aimed at strengthening the bond between the military and the local civilian population.

This intervention arrives at a critical time as the region grapples with a severe drought that has endangered both human lives and the livestock that the community depends on for survival.

Speaking during the water distribution exercise, KDF leaders, who represented the Base Commander Brigadier Lazarus Wafula, encouraged the residents to continue their cooperation with security agencies emphasising the importance of sharing timely information to support ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and enhance security in the region.

This mission underscores the KDF’s core objective of fostering a secure environment where peace is sustained through mutual trust and the shared goal of building a resilient and thriving local community.
