KENYA NAVY HOSTS CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE TO MARK FESTIVE SEASON 

On 22 December 2025, the Kenya Navy celebrated the festive season with a Christmas carol service at Kenya Navy Base Mtongwe, Mombasa County. The event brought together service personnel and their families in an atmosphere of joy, fellowship and goodwill.

The occasion was led by Deputy Commander Kenya Navy, Brigadier Sankale Kiswaa, focusing on celebrating the year’s accomplishments, strengthening unity within the service and fostering festive cheer ahead of Christmas.

Speaking during the event, Brigadier Kiswaa highlighted that the Christmas carols reminded everyone of the virtues of peace, humility and goodwill, principles that reinforce the commitment to duty, honor and service to the nation. He stated that the carols provided an opportunity to reflect on the birth of Christ and the enduring values of service, sacrifice and love that continued to guide the service.

Brigadier Kiswaa further observed that Christmas provides an opportunity to give thanks for life, comradeship and the honour of serving the nation. He emphasized that the shared celebration reinforced unity within the Kenya Navy and renewed commitment to duty while encouraging personnel to extend support to the less fortunate.

He also conveyed his best wishes for peace and joy during the Christmas season and expressed hope that the New Year would bring good health, renewed strength and continued success in the execution of the Kenya Navy mandate.

The event was officiated by His Lordship Rt. Rev Dr. Alphonse Baya, Bishop of the Diocese of Mombasa who offered spiritual interpretation and church teachings.

Also in attendance were Formation Commanders, Principal Staff Officers, Senior Officers, Officers, Service Members and Families.
