KENYATTA UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL CEO PAYS COURTESY CALL ON CDF

The Chief Executive Officer of Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH), Dr. Zeinab Gura, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF), General Charles Kahariri, on 3rd February 2026.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed key areas of collaboration between KUTRRH and the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), including joint training and capacity building, skills transfer through professional development, as well as collaborative research and innovation initiatives.

They also explored opportunities for faculty collaboration with the Defence College of Health Sciences, particularly in curriculum support and provision of clinical exposure at KUTRRH. Additionally, discussions covered potential support in the development and delivery of biomedical engineering and medical equipment maintenance certification programmes at KUTRRH.

The meeting reaffirmed the mutual commitment of KUTRRH and the KDF to strengthening collaboration aimed at enhancing specialised healthcare delivery, promoting skills exchange in the health sector, advancing multidisciplinary research, and fostering partnerships in the improvement of health infrastructure.
