The countdown to the second edition of one of the Kenya Defence Forces’ most anticipated fitness and community events began on Monday, 18 May 2026, with the official launch of a one-month online registration drive for Ride with the Warrior 2026 at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Lang’ata.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, Ride with the Warrior has grown into a unique platform that brings together the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), corporate organizations, fitness enthusiasts and members of the public in a shared commitment to physical fitness, resilience and national unity.
The launch was presided over by Colonel Charles Mugo, of the Special Operations Forces Command (SOFC). In his remarks, Colonel Mugo thanked participants who took part in last year’s inaugural event, noting that their enthusiasm and support laid a strong foundation for the continued success of the initiative.
He also expressed gratitude to sponsors and stakeholders for their invaluable support and encouraged members of the public to take advantage of the one-month online registration period and register for this year’s edition, which is scheduled to take place on 5 July 2026.
One of last year’s winners, Miss Grace, was also present during the launch. She shared her positive experience from the inaugural edition, thanked the organisers for the successful execution of the event, and encouraged more Kenyans, especially women and families, to register and take part in this year’s cycling challenge.
Speaking during the launch, organisers, noted that Ride with the Warrior goes beyond cycling, serving as a dynamic platform that promotes healthy living, strengthens teamwork, and deepens engagement between the Kenya Defence Forces and the civilian community.
This year’s edition features three cycling categories designed to cater for riders of all ages and skill levels: the Britz and Recon Circuit for experienced cyclists, the Corporate Circuit for organizations and teams, and the Family Circuit for families and recreational riders.
Participants will also stand a chance to win cash prizes across the different circuits, alongside other exciting goodies, with a new car set to be awarded as the overall grand prize.
The second edition of Ride with the Warrior 2026 is expected to build on the success of its inaugural edition and further strengthen the bond between the Kenya Defence Forces and the public through sport, fitness and shared purpose.
