SECURITY EXPERTS RALLY TOWARDS SHARED SECURITY

Deputy Force Commander, African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), Major General Peter Muteti, has accentuated the need for stronger multinational partnerships to counter emerging security threats across the continent.

Speaking at the ongoing Silent Warrior 2025 Conference in Nairobi during the plenary session themed “Building Partnerships for Success,” Maj Gen Muteti noted that modern security challenges demand unity, agility, and shared understanding among regional and international Special Operations Forces (SOF). He emphasized the importance of logistics, mobility, and sustainment in modern operations, adding that these enablers remain critical to success in confronting terrorism and transnational threats.

During the plenary session, experts pointed out that ‘Building Partnerships for Success’, remains a core pillar of the Silent Warrior 2025 Conference, underscoring the collective resolve of regional and international Special Operations Forces to enhance cooperation, strengthen interoperability, and cultivate mutual trust. By uniting diverse capabilities and shared experiences, partners are better positioned to confront evolving threats, innovate solutions, and secure long-term stability across the region.

The four-day conference, co-hosted by the Kenya Defence Forces and U.S. Special Operations Command Africa, has united senior defence leaders, security experts, and industry partners from across Africa.
