STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY HEALTH THROUGH JOINT MEDICAL OUTREACH

A joint medical outreach was conducted recently at Ramacha, in Mkutani, Baringo County. The initiative, spearheaded by the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in partnership with Action Against Hunger, was aimed at delivering essential healthcare services to residents of Ramacha and its surrounding areas.

The medical camp brought services closer to the community, offering consultation, diagnosis, and treatment of common illnesses. Patients were also guided on preventive healthcare practices and hygiene measures to promote overall well-being.

The outreach was led by KDF leadership, who coordinated the activity to ensure its smooth implementation. Dr. Richard Tutege from Marigat Sub-County Hospital oversaw the clinical services delivered during the exercise.

The initiative highlighted the sustained partnership between the KDF and humanitarian organizations in responding to community needs, while further enhancing engagement with local residents and promoting access to essential medical services.
