Chess plays a vital role in the military by sharpening strategic thinking, enhancing mental agility, promoting discipline and patience and developing the ability to anticipate and respond effectively to changing situations. These qualities are essential in military operations, where sound judgement, calculated decisions and the ability to remain composed under pressure are critical to mission success.
