The United States Naval Attaché to Kenya, Commander Jeff Ryan, paid a courtesy call on the Commander Kenya Navy, Major General Paul Otieno, on 13 November 2025 at the Kenya Navy Headquarters in Mtongwe, Mombasa County.
The visit aimed to strengthen the ongoing bilateral relations and collaboration between the Kenya Navy and the United States Navy.
Discussions during the courtesy call focused on strengthening cooperation in combating maritime security threats within the Indian Ocean region through initiatives such as capacity building, joint training and coordinated patrols.
