KDF, US FORCES JOINT MEDCAP

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), alongside medical personnel from the United States Armed Forces taking part in Exercise Justified Accord 26, on 27th February 2026 conducted a free Medical Civil Action Program (MEDCAP) for residents of Laresoro in Samburu County.

The joint medical team led by the KDF Medical Officers conducted a 2 day MEDCAP at both Laresoro Health Centre and Archers Post Sub County Hospital, offering free outpatient consultations, basic laboratory tests, treatment for common illnesses, maternal and child health services, and health education to elderly women and men as well as children.

The outreach forms part of the humanitarian component of Justified Accord 26, a multinational exercise aimed at strengthening cooperation, interoperability, and collective readiness among partner nations.

The medical exercise demonstrating the KDF and participating allied nations shared commitment not only to security collaboration but also to supporting host communities overcome some of societal ailments.

During the exercise, a total of 1100 residents turned out and welcomed the initiative, noting that it improved access to healthcare services within the area.

Exercise Justified Accord 26 continues in designated training areas, combining joint military training with community based activities that reinforce strong civil-military cooperation.
