JCSC HOLDS COLLEGE CONTROL BOARD MEETING

The Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC), Karen, held its quarterly College Control Board meeting on Tuesday, 28 April 2025. The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chief of the Defence Forces (VCDF), Lieutenant General John Omenda.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to review the College’s performance for the last two quarters of Financial Year 2025/26 and to deliberate on strategic plans for the coming financial year. Discussions centered on ensuring that JCSC’s academic programs and institutional development remain firmly aligned with the strategic objectives of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).

After the meeting, the VCDF and the Board members led by College Commandant Major General Eric Kinuthia, conducted a site inspection of ongoing infrastructure projects within the College. The tour included the Junior Joint Command and Staff Course accommodation, the new Defence Forces Constabulary accommodation and the swimming pool changing rooms. The inspection underscored the College’s commitment to enhancing both training facilities and welfare infrastructure for its students and staff.

Through its oversight, the Board ensures that JCSC advances as a centre of excellence in professional military education responsive to the evolving operational requirements of the KDF and allied nations’ militaries.
