JJCSC-103/26 CONDUCTS CHIEF INSTRUCTOR’S RUN

The Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor of the Joint Command and Staff College, Brigadier David Chesire, presided over the Chief Instructor’s Run at Ulinzi Sports Complex Lang’ata, marking the culmination of the Junior Joint Command and Staff Course, JJCSC-103/26. Furthermore, the day featured team building activities such as the dash relay race and tug of war, which celebrated the discipline, effort and resilience shown by the student officers throughout the course.

In his address, the Deputy Commandant highlighted that the physical exercises were intentionally designed to push the officers beyond their comfort zones, building endurance, mental fortitude and the ability to persevere under pressure. He emphasized the critical role of team spirit, noting that no officer succeeds in isolation.

“Throughout this course, you have learned to support one another, to push each other forward, and to hold each other accountable. That bond of trust and unity will remain one of your greatest strengths in your future appointments,” said Brigadier Chesire.

He further urged the officers to uphold the highest levels of integrity in their future deployments and to carry forward the core lessons of the course, such as commitment to duty, discipline, resilience in adversity and loyalty.

Outstanding student officers were recognized with awards for individual and group excellence.
