THE COMMANDANT PRESIDES OVER GROUNDBREAKING OF NEW DFC ACCOMMODATION AT JCSC

On Wednesday 4 March 2026, Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC), Major General Eric Kinuthia, presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new accommodation block within the College grounds. The facility, designed to house personnel from the Defence Forces Constabulary (DFC), will accommodate up to 26 personnel upon completion, significantly improving living conditions for those supporting the College’s training mission.

The commandant was accompanied by the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor, Brigadier David Chesire and Heads of Departments (HoD). The project is a key milestone in the College’s ongoing infrastructure enhancement programme. It aligns with JCSC’s broader commitment to improving welfare, accommodation standards and operational effectiveness for service personnel at the institution. Once completed, it will ensure DFC members deployed to the College receive appropriate and dignified housing.

The Joint Command and Staff College remains dedicated to fostering excellence in joint training while prioritising the well being of all personnel.
