15 KR PERSONNEL VISIT RETIRED UNIT SERGEANT MAJOR

Honouring those who have served with distinction remains a cherished tradition within the Kenya Defence Forces. In keeping with this commitment, serving and retired Senior Officers, Officers, and Service Members of 15 Kenya Rifles (15 KR), Mariakani, paid a welfare visit to Warrant Officer I (Rtd) Kinoti at his home in Meru County.

The delegation, led by the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Geoffrey Mosol, visited the retired senior soldier in recognition of his distinguished service to the Kenya Defence Forces. The occasion marked the first official welfare visit to WOI (Rtd) Kinoti since his retirement in 2006, following an illustrious military career spanning over three decades after joining the Service in 1973.

Addressing the gathering, Lt Col Mosol paid tribute to the retired Warrant Officer for his exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication during his tenure as the 3rd Regimental Sergeant Major of 15 Kenya Rifles. He further acknowledged his outstanding service as Brigade Sergeant Major at Headquarters 4 Brigade, noting that his professionalism, discipline, and mentorship played a significant role in shaping generations of soldiers.

The visit underscored the Regiment’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of its serving and retired personnel while reinforcing the strong bonds of unity, teamwork, and esprit de corps embodied in the Unit’s motto, “STAY HIGH.”

In his remarks, WOI (Rtd) Kinoti expressed gratitude to the delegation for the thoughtful visit and commended the remarkable progress and transformation of his former Unit. He encouraged serving Officers and Service Members to remain committed to duty, uphold military discipline and professionalism, and continue serving the nation with loyalty and dedication. He also emphasised the importance of unity, vigilance, and selfless service in sustaining the operational effectiveness of the Kenya Defence Forces.

The visit concluded with a renewed sense of regimental pride and solidarity, highlighting the enduring bond between serving personnel and veterans whose selfless service continues to inspire future generations of soldiers.
