COMMANDANT JCSC OFFICIALLY OPENS JJCSC 104/2026

On Monday 11 May 2026, the Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC), Major General Eric Kinuthia, presided over the official opening of the Junior Joint Command Staff Course, JJCSC 104/2026. He was joined by the Deputy Commandant/Chief Instructor, Brigadier David Chesire, heads of departments from the College and senior officers from Lang’ata Garrison. The ceremony formally inducted sixty officers drawn from the Kenya Army, Kenya Air Force and Kenya Navy.

In his opening address, the Commandant encouraged the students to fully leverage the rich diversity of the course, noting the valuable wealth of experience brought by officers from different Services, formations, units and trades. He challenged the participants to commit themselves to the successful completion of the 14-week programme and to maximize the knowledge transformation offered at the College.

The commandant assured the students of the full support of the College leadership to ensure the smooth and effective conduct of the course.
