BOLSTERING SPIRITUAL RESILIENCE AMONG KDF FAMILIES

Spiritual empowerment continues shaping operational readiness and cohesion within the Kenya Defence Forces, as faith-based engagements reinforce the welfare of service personnel and their families.

Deputy Commander Kenya Navy, Brigadier Sankale Kiswaa, recently presided over the closing ceremony of the Anglican Church Military Episcopate Women Conference held in Mtongwe, Mombasa. The gathering brought together women and spouses from across the three KDF services under the Anglican Church Military Episcopate framework.

The conference offered a platform for spiritual nourishment, mentorship, and reflection on the dual roles of servicewomen as professionals and caregivers. Through prayer sessions, teachings, and fellowship, participants strengthened values of faith, unity, and resilience—critical pillars in both personal wellbeing and military service.

Brigadier Kiswaa lauded the Anglican Church of Kenya chaplaincy for its enduring spiritual support, noting the conference’s impact in uplifting morale and fostering cohesion among military women. He emphasized that such forums provide essential grounding, nurturing both inner strength and collective purpose.

As participants return to their respective duty stations, the conference stands as a testament to the role of spiritual resilience in enhancing discipline, professionalism, and unity—key enablers of effective service within the Kenya Defence Forces.
