COMMANDER KENYA NAVY HOSTS EGYPT DEFENCE ATTACHÉ   

Commander Kenya Navy, Major General Paul Otieno, on 21 January 2026 hosted the Egypt Defence Attaché to Kenya, Brigadier General Ahmed Fathy at the Kenya Navy Headquarters in Mtongwe, Mombasa County.

Discussions during the visit focused on strengthening defence cooperation between Kenya and Egypt, with emphasis on areas of mutual interest such as training, medical and shipbuilding.

Commander Kenya Navy reaffirmed the long standing bilateral military relations between the two countries through structured exchanges.

Present during the visit was the Chief of Naval Medical Services, Brigadier (Dr) Justino Muinde and other senior officers from Headquarters Kenya Navy.
