Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) personnel deployed in the Learoni area under Operation Maliza Uhalifu (OMU), as part of a multi-agency security team, recently conducted a Civil–Military Cooperation (CIMIC) and Key Leadership Engagement (KLE) activity at Loibor Ngare Centre.
The CIMIC activity aimed to reassure the local community, distribute foodstuffs, and engage key local leaders through a structured Key Leadership Engagement forum.
During the engagement, members of the local community—represented by the area Assistant Chief, Mr. Lenasunya, National Police Reservists (NPR) representatives, and local elders from Pura, Loibor Ngare, and Lesidai villages—expressed their appreciation to the KDF and the multi-agency team for their continued efforts in maintaining peace and tranquillity within Samburu West Sub-County. They also pledged their support and cooperation with the security agencies whenever necessary.
Through the CIMIC engagement, the team reinforced its role in fostering cooperation with the local population while promoting security, stability, and community support within the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
