STRENGTHENING TEAMWORK AND UNITY THROUGH SPORTS

The Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC) hosted the Moi Air Base (MAB) volleyball team for a friendly match against Senior Joint Command and Staff Course No. 42 – 2026/2027 on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, at the JCSC grounds. The encounter showcased teamwork, discipline, resilience and sportsmanship.

The event was graced by the Deputy Commandant, JCSC, Brigadier Seif Rashid, accompanied by the Base Commander, MAB, Brigadier Herbert Wafula, Heads of Departments and Directing Staff.

Brigadier Wafula thanked JCSC for the invitation, noting that sports provides an avenue for competition and entertainment while promoting resilience, teamwork, discipline and fighting spirit.

MAB emerged victorious after a spirited contest characterised by skill, determination and sportsmanship. Trophies were presented to the winning team and outstanding performers in recognition of their exemplary performances.

On behalf of the Commandant, JCSC, Brigadier Rashid congratulated MAB on their victory and commended both teams for sustaining the longstanding sporting tradition between the two institutions.

The encounter reaffirmed sports as a powerful platform for strengthening professional relationships, cohesion, teamwork and unity within the Defence Forces.
