Demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to preserving life, Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) medical team serving under the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) today successfully conducted hernia surgeries on patients at the Dhobley Level II Hospital in Somalia.
For the patients, the procedures were far more than routine medical interventions, they were life-changing moments that brought renewed hope and the promise of a better quality of life. The patients had been suffering from hernia-related complications.
The delicate surgeries were led by the Senior KDF Medical Officers, with support from a dedicated team of skilled medical professionals whose expertise and compassion turned uncertainty into hope.
Through careful surgical intervention, the team removed the protruding tissue and reinforced the weakened areas using surgical mesh. For the patients, the surgeries represented a new chance at health and recovery.
